Julia Pachoud Bennett as "'Bertha Constantine"'
Julia has acted and directed regionally throughout the Upper Midwest and is a co-founder of Ephemeral Productions. An associate professor of Theater at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD, Dr. Bennett teaches performance, scripting and improvisation. She is the founder of Augustana’s improvisation curriculum and company Brand Name Improv. She holds her M.F.A. in Acting and a Ph.D. in Performance Studies from SIU-Carbondale. Favorite roles include Vivian (Wit), Masha (The Seagull) and Mercutio (Romeo & Juliet). She is currently in production with a one-woman show entitled Metta-Stasis: A Moving Meditation. Her mission: to nurture, cultivate and support vibrant artists in the Dakotas.
David Midthunder as "Sheriff Highbear"
David Midthunder was taught the importance of his culture and its traditions while growing up on the Ft. Peck Indian reservation in Montana, where he is an enrolled tribal member. From there, his appreciation of indigenous cultures grew, and he attended the University of Utah to study cultural anthropology, focusing on Plains Indian Cultures. For over a decade now, David has been working as an actor for television (ROUGH RIDERS, INTO THE WEST, COMANCHE MOON) and in movies (Ron Howard's THE MISSING, Touchstone's HIDALGO, the Hughes Brothers' BOOK OF ELI with Denzel Washington, and TERMINATOR SALVATION). His anthropological studies and knack for languages have not gone to waste in Hollywood. When not in front of the camera, David utilized his skills as a technical, cultural, and spiritual adviser on television and theatrical productions. he has worked as a dialect coach, technical consultant, and/or ADR artist on television shows such as DEADWOOD, THIEF OF TIME, COYOTE WAITS, EDGE OF AMERICA, and DREAMKEEPER, and on feature films WINDTALKERS, SPIRIT: Stallion of the Cimarron, and HIDALGO.
Bates Wilder as "Larry Constantine"
Actor in film, television and stage. Bates has been a professional actor for almost 30 years now. He’s worked in Boston, New York, and Hollywood as an award winning stage actor (2007 IRNE award for Best Actor in Boston, and 2008 IRNE award for Best Supporting Actor in Boston). He also appeared in the critically acclaimed, Waiting for Godot with Austin Pendelton. In film Bates has appeared in many day player roles and has been honored to do scene work with some of the following talented actors, Chris Walken in “Maiden Heist”, Christopher Reeves in “The Last Ferry Home”, Richard Gere in “Hachiko”, Benjamin Barnes in “Valediction” , Amanda Peat, Ethan Hawke and Mark Ruffalo in “What Doesn’t Kill You”, Mark Ruffalo, Leonardo Decaprio in “Shutter Island”, Lawrence Fishburne in “Mystic River”, as well as Pat Morita and Hilary Swank in “The Next Karate Kid”. It is also worth mentioning, that Bates had an integral role in the multiple award-winning and independent film festival winning, “Replacement Child”. In Television, Bates is best known for his recurring role as the hapless, ne’er-do-well brother-in-law for three seasons on Showtime’s “Brotherhood”. Rounding off Bates accomplishments in the acting business, he has appeared in countless local and national commercials playing a wide range of characters from the goofy and obscure, to the poignant and dramatic, and many others in-between.
